Hrm, my homepage hasn't changed at all ... which is a bit odd, I just had a few people spend a few $100 buying links on my site (which doesn't happen often) and with only PR4 I guess my site must just rank for the right keywords ...
$100 for a little under a year, one for a little under 2 months. In the past I've had anything from $50 to $120 per quarter but not for some time now. The exchange rate confuses things, I think in my own money I have permanent links for sale for $10 on another site with the same PR but apparently noone wants those
Google have repeatedly stated if you follow the basics of SEO, having updated content, and getting backlinks from authority sites, your PR will undoubtedly increase
Guys, keep in mind that Google is relying on an "internal" PR which is real time calculated. The one you see is a public one, which is not updated frequently. I have been reading that Google is even considering to not update it anymore at all - now that would shake up things, wouldn't it? Regards, Steve
There is no specific time of PR updation. Google employees say that PR updation is a regular and gradual process... Websites which deserve ans update can see a change in the green toolbar. PR is not an important metric so you hardly need to bother about update.
I'm thinking this is a good reason to be concerned about pagerank. The fact that my latest site has seen update through update through update and not a page is anything but n/a or PR0 seems to indicate to me that I need tons and tons more backlinks. I'm not sure why my first two sites shot up to PR2 with very little effort. I guess PR is a lot harder to get these days. P.S. does anyone use the word "updation" outside of pagerank discussions? I don't remember see it anywhere else
