Is PR in Realtime, Even though it is updated Every 3?

So this is my question. I know the PR indicator is updated every 3 months, so you know what your new PR is. But, does that mean your actual PR only changes when the indicator is updated, or does your PR change in realtime, even though you don't actually see the changes.

Real PageRank is not static, always changing, the toolbar (public / fake) PageRank only gets updated on occasion.

Yes, PageRank is calculated constantly, although the results and data are kept internally by Google and released only every few months. So the PR you see in your toolbars and on sites like ww.digpagerank.com is really just what the PR was like a few months back, almost like looking back in time.
