Is PR affected when changing Hosts?

Please slap me if this is stupid, but would your PR be affected when moving to a different host? As i'll be changing the domains DNS, and so wouldn't this give the domain a new IP? therefore when a spider picks it, does it pick up the new IP or just recognise the domain?

No PR effect...if your site has been down for long time you will see just temporary serp problem but no PR problem at all.

    There is no pr effect.
But... there could be a serp effect if the 2 ips are in different countries

No PR problem but it can be if your site is down for a week or more during the change..

The PR of a site is registered with the domain name.
