I can get my site to PR5 or PR6/7, is that PR8or even PR9, 10 very difficult to get? I saw them usually are very popular site. Do you think the average PR for a domain (main site) is 5? Or it is like pyramid, say PR10 has 10 domains, PR9 500 (50x) , PR8 25000, PR7 125000, PR6 6250000? Anyone done PR8 before?
YUP i think it's very difficult i also get PR6 but right now my site have PR 4 i think PR 8 Getting more difficult try to build more high PR authority back links may help full!!
its very difficult to get but not impossible. all we need is lot of high authority links with great contents with lot of user base
PR 8 for normal site very tough ask. if you are able to create site like facebook, digg, stumbleupon and wikipedia then you can expect PR 8, PR 5 is also very good according to me...
Its really very difficult to get 8 PR. You need many unique & quality stuff & good number of quality back links for your webpage to get PR 8
OK, I think I will give up. I will try to get PR5, shooting for 6, max 7 then. Thanks for the input. By the way, anyone know how many PR10, PR9, PR8, 7, 6 sites out there? Even estimate? Just main site/domain. I know PR10(Google) has several PR9 pages, don't count them.
It's very difficult to achieve PR8 or above. I saw such kind of PR's only in social networking and social media sites.
PR8 is not at all difficult for bookmarking sites, or social networking sites. Mostly if you are selling products, you can get maximum pr5. Build Lots of Links. Get approved by 100,000 directories. Then you can get PR8.
It is quite impossible as long as if you are selling something or it is a company site unles it is worldwide known. Even I have a PR7 Site and selling links of this site. Still dont know how to increase to PR8
it not very difficult if your site is very popular and it has good high PR back links then the we easily achieve 8 PR.

ya pr-8 is difficult but u can get it. from my knowledge its depend on your site trust value ,popularity or traffic . link also mater but not too . you can see that many SMO, popular organization , portals have 8 or more more pr . they not do link exchange or ds or any promotion work but have good pr. thanks
Hello Friend, Yes there is a difficult job to get PR 8. but in this world nothing is impossible, so should try , sure you will get PR 8.
Why are people still so transfixed on PR, sites are ranked based on themed links and nice pr which are not displayed. High PR does not always mean high ranking, but it does show a lot of backlinks and a site will POTENTIALLY be stronger for it.
Trying to get a PR8 will only be good if you plan to sell your site at some time in the future or for making good money selling links to your site and that is all it is really good for these days,the Kudos that once went with a high PR had has gone and in my mind it visitors to the site that is king these days. I would rather have a site with huge amount of visitors over a high PR site any day as having a high PR does not mean that you have a high amount of visitors.
I think getting to PR8 is indeed a difficult job unless obcourse your indeed good in SEO at the same time you have the huge resources to get high relevant links for your site. Getting higher relevant links as backlinks for your site is surely a tough job to do
PR 8 means lots of relevant backlinks from the authority websites with high PR. Its very difficult and you have to work hard. Focus on the quality of content first. And the short-cut is think new concept and launch it.
