    Hi Friends

I just started Affiliate Marketing with forum signatures. Don't know if I can depend on it 100% ?

I have no idea about PPC. So please let me know if I have to learn things like google adwords and adsence ?

    Thanks

    Happy 2008 to all.

    Affiliate marketing+forum signatures= 0$

Don't rely on that kind of marketing :D

You don't have to learn PPC, because there are many other methods how to promote products.

PPC is just one of them.

I think you should know about PPC just in case there's an emergency and you need some cash on demand.

You should try building an SEO empire of some type, and have PPC to have you earning money for the now.

Your signature link is not tracking clicks and purchases. You should fix your link. If someone buys through the link above and makes a purchase you won't get commission. You need to fix the link, Go to Click Bank find the product you want and then generate the link using their tool.

    It should be like this.

    http://YourID.PublisherID.hop.clickbank.net
    Code (markup):
If it is not done like this you will be loosing out on commissions which you deserve.

Adwords = PPC when you advertise with Google.
AdSense = when you put google ads on your site.

You are looking to use Adwords not Adsense.

His hoplink is working. His affiliate nickname is soni123. The problem is that, when you go to purchase the product, it says "This product is no longer for sale"

Yes his name is soni123 but by clicking on the link he is not getting credit, since it is not going through the hop. It will take him to the proper landing page.

    Yes this is problem #2

A hoplink doesn't have to look like: yourid.publisher.hop.clickbank.net

There are some hoplinks that direct you to a specific website, and you will be able to see your hoplink in the address bar (e.g. www.digitalpoint.com/hop=yourid)

Both of them will work, if someone makes a purchase. I tried it, that's why I know, I am not guessing ;)

You can make money with affiliate marketing in many different ways. I do very little PPC myself but many people rely on it and make a fortune (others lose a fortune...)

Personally I like the SEO way of doing things, it takes longer to get return but I feel the results are more long term.

I know that there is an old style hoplink. But the way he has it set up does not work. I tested it on a few products and on the bottom of the order form it says affiliate=none

    His format is

    www.example.com/?hop=soni123

    Your format is

    www.example.com/hop=soni123

and if you try that with any page it gives you an error message this goes for any site not just clickbank product sites.

So I guess if there is an old method of linking or an alternate method, He is jsut not doing it right.

You say that you have tried it maybe it was a different format than what you showed?

I would suggest that you test it out again and make sure that your affiliate name shows up.

To be on the safe side just do it the way they say it should be done.

"This product is no longer for sale"

sell something that an internet marketer might buy...
nobody here will buy that crap anyway :)

I agree that you don't need to use Adwords if you don't want to. there are hundreds of people who earn a living online and don't use adwords... although their affiliates DO!

This is how most people use adwords... with their affiliates.

As for forum sig, I don't agree... I've made money from this method, and many other affiliates. If you do it right, it can make you money. But only a few people know how to use forums the right way.

    Franck.

PPC is for quick money but will burn some money before you start earning it.

    SEO is effective but slow.

I have make some money from PPC and now trying to have SEO as my main marketing method.

SEO takes time, but it's worth doing that, because after you've done everything you are going to have decent traffic everyday.

you should go into the adwords section and yahoo search marketing section and learn as much as you can because you should use ppc as a very reliable way of getting sales.

ppc is a great way to get started, but it isn't the only way - article marketing is probably the best solution for most affiliates

It took me a while to find the right PPC programs. You can waste a lot of money if you don't monitor your campaigns properly. Here's a list of PPC programs. I've cut my PPC budget down a lot and I only use adwords right now.
