is PPC better than Selling Your Own

I have a blog with about 3,000 pageviews per month (a little more).
Is payperclick my best option or should I try and sell my own ad space (eg 125x125 ads)

Yep, try both. I've seen blogs with both on it.

 

I would split test, run one month with both, one month with just ad links, and one month with just PPC. Sometimes the guests depending on the type of content and demographics respond differently. Also play with your ad placements.

 

That works out to be about 100 pageviews per day, not easy to make money from PPC. Ad sales is also not easy unless you have some pagerank.

 

How come you require pagerank for ad sales?

 

With PPC it depends on what your site is, if it's about insurance or other large sector then PPC will be very expensive.
