I used powweb hosting for 4 years, and I am very satisfied with their service. But today I received an email that "PowWeb Terms of Service Violation -- Action Required" They said that "your disk space usage is outside what we consider to be a normal, and you will need to remove files from your account." This is the full support ticket: http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/3449/powweb2.jpg But you can see on the home page of powweb that: Disk Space (Raid Storage): UNLIMITED Data Transfer / Bandwidth: UNLIMITED check this image: http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/7299/powweb.jpg my site is: http://gallery.anipics.com/ I do not host any video or music file, there is only anime images on my host, i'm using 44277.66 MB disk space.
so you are using about 40gb space on a shared host normally there is nothing like unlimited they say unlimited just to attract people but servers have thier limits i think for 40gb space you need atleast a vps most shared host would object
I got the answer from powweb: "You need to keep the disk space under 25 GB." So the term UNLIMITED of powweb is 25GB! be careful!
poweb have very slow ftp upload. and if you tell them about it they tell you to buy a program from them to get faster upload. they are full of BS
Over Sellers cant actually give you unlimited i mean if you pay 6-7 a month u cant expect unlimited when a dedicated server with good specs with normal specs cost soo much
I use it only for host image files, I don't need to use data base. But they say unlimited means that 'normal usage'. How is the 'normal usage'? there is no definition in the TOS. And now they said that 'normal usage' is 25GB, so if they say that 'normal usage' is 10MB!!!! What will happen?
You're paying $4 a month to an overseller, "Only 40GB" is still a lot. Well they have to draw limits somewhere
