    Hi,
Just a bit confused as to what counts as breaking the rules when it comes to adsense. I know you can't post stats from your site, but is it breaking the rules to post on your personal site how much your making per day, like in a diary form.

E.G is this site breaking the rules??

    Thanks

Yes I think it is actually, if you didn't mention your site it would be ok. I'm not completely sure about this though lol

I think its ok, until you did not reveal the CTR, eCPM and with a screenshot

Yeah netjobs is right. You can reveal your earnings, But not in relation to impressions or CTR.

Since you are told how many clicks it has gotten today when you hover over the counter, yes, this site is in violation of TOS. It's owner is a member here and would be advised to change the level of details in the stats.

The clicks count is a mybloglog widget. It's displaying how many clicks that link has recieved, Not how many clicks the adverts have got.

On a side note, I believe there is a wordpress plugin that retirieves your adsense earnings and displays them for you. Heres some adsense wordpress plugins

    Why would it cause problems?

Anyone else using this plugin? I'm guessing those stats are showing to date and not a daily tally:confused:

    Since it's my site....:)

It's not against the TOS to display your total earnings. But you can't show the CTR or how much per click. I carefully read the TOS before I started posting my earnings. I recommend others do the same!

The MyBlogLog widget doesn't display how many clicks my Adsense has received.

The Total Earnings list isn't a widget!! Many people think it is, but I update it manually. You don't need a widget for everything....you can do it yourself!!:)

MyBlogLog and Adsense are not a good combination due to the click counting feature in MyBlogLog. . Be careful using but of them together

Check out my blog post on the issue which was originally discovered by another member here (JH?).

mybloglog doesn't count adsense clicks... and even if it did, It would only show 1 click because the URLs change on every pageload.

I agree- but do the Adsense folks agree? Did you read the email in the post?

Thanks for heads up. That e-mail looked pretty "cut and paste" and didn't really relate specifically to MyBlogLog.

Either way, I've read the Adsense TOS many times and the widget doesn't violate the terms. :)

Here is what the Terms of service says:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms

Emphasis added by me. You should contact google with this question because it is definitely on the line of breaking the tos.

The response in their email is very vague. I don't think that adsense team member entirely understands what mybloglog widgets do.

The email doesn't say it's allowed or disallowed. It just recommends that "you exercise caution when using third-party software to ensure that you do not violate the AdSense Terms"
