In all these autoposting programs I always see a section for proxies.

Posting a lot in classifieds isn't actually spam, is it?

For me it is considered nothing but spam for all these auto poster. Especially when I run a classifieds, imagine having to deal with tons of rubbish auto postings to the wrong sections or repeated so many times that it became a nuisance. If you are posting classifieds, it is fine, if you are using autoposting, please remember that over posting will become a nuisance and spam in the eyes of others and sooner or later the search engines.

As long as you dont post the same ad over and over again
(more than once per 24 hours) or the same ad to every category
    it shouldn't be considered spam.

As long as you aren't giving something that's valuable for the other people (think of yourself: would you like other people to do the stuff you are doing if you were craigslist visitor), then the answer would be "yes".

One definition of spam is repeated or volume posting. While it's true that one man's spam might be another man's content, the METHOD and VOLUME of posting would probably factor in this determination.

I'd say a lot of folks would say posting any sort of internet marketing crap on classified sites is spam.

So yes, doing it automatically is *definitely* spam.

It depends on how much you're posting and what you're posting.

I know craigslist has been fighting the spam post very hard these days.
If you post too many similar classifieds, it will be deleted.

It depends. If you post same ad in multiple locations that would be spam. However legit ads should not be spam. I have users on my site webcosmo.com post 20+ posts per day. Mostly they are selling products. I think they are legit.

But again its upto the site administration how they see it.
