Hi, I was just doing a little research on what hosting companies host adult/porn sites. I got an e-mail from one of them saying that:-- ------------- Hello, Lunarpages has no restrictions upon content of your website as long as it is legal as defined by California law. However, adult sites that require extreme amounts of server resources and bandwidth will be required to upgrade to a dedicated server plan. Please thoroughly read our 'Terms of Service', http://www.lunarpages.com/legal.htm We allow all kinds of adult sites. Free tgp (thumbnail gallery posts), multiple adult pop ups, and free image galleries are allowed only on our dedicated plans. Feel free to be as adult as you can be under the law of California. You would also need to make sure you are not hosting or selling any material you do now own the copyright on or you do not have the copyright owner's permission to give out or sell. ---------- So i guess the think i'm trying to confirm with you guys is that the videos being sold on this site: http://freecelebritypornandsex.com/ are perfectly fine as they really don't have a copyright and I don't need copyright owners permission as they have no owner. What do you think?
All content, pictures and videos have an automatic copyright upon creation. You need permission from the copyright holder to legally use content.
Porn is legal in the U.S. under the Constitution, but obscenity isn't. The age-old debate is about defining obscenity. I don't go to porn sites and wouldn't care if they all disappeared. But, as to ownership, all created works have a copyright for X years. The owner doesn't need to say "copyright." I guess if you can't succeed at anything in life, you go to porn. Seems to be were all the rejects are. Oh, I'm sorry. Did I offend anyone?
Who told you they had no owner? I think you better brush up on copyright law before you do anything else. After you do that, you'll need to brush up on 2252 laws as well. You're nowhere near ready to get into the adult business if you don't know both of those like the back of your hand.
Porn is legal! However in the UK at least, it is a criminal offence to knowingly/willingly supply pornographic products to a minor, or to host/have knowledge or possesion of any pornographic product, portraying someone under the age of 18 having sex... Other than that I don't know of any restrictions... Diarmuid
Thanks for the RED rep for my comment. It only proves my point. Sorry I hurt your feelings, but sometimes the truth hurts.
you can not red someone because have other opinion;read the forum rules for what you can red someone;
Porn people aren't the smartest lot in the bunch. I got ANOTHER red. LOL Oh well, whatever floats your boat. Some of us evolve, others don't. It's not rocket science. Just like in marketing. When you're not creative and you're stuck, you resort to sex, because it sells and it's the lowest level of thinking. The porn industry is full of "directors" who couldn't cut it on the professional circuit. And it's full of "talent" that's nothing more than people who only had two choices in life. 1. Do porn. 2. Work at Wal-Mart. So, yeah, RED me up and give me your stupid little comments WITHOUT leaving your username. I couldn't care less. Oh, and if you're in porn and have a rock-star like business ability, why not prove it by doing something else? You're too smart for that crap.
As far as i know, porn is not illegal. ofc we're talking about ages 18 and up and not sick things... There's copyright also, so watch out for that cause it can be a bit tricky. You could start with some pictures and videos that you know they aren't copyrighted together with series that affiliates give you for free to advertise their products.
I am not sure that the "sick things" are illegal either simply for being sick - though obviously this depends on your definition of sick things. It is exceptionally difficult to find copyright free images and if you do, get them to put it in writing that they will indemnify you if it turns out they are not copyright free. You are generally much better off buying the images on a royalty free basis but even then there is a risk that the seller didnt own the copyright either. Other option of cause is to commission photos, whilst it is not our sister company's style of photography if you go onto the modeling forums you can find many people willing to have photos, including porn style, for free or minimal payment. Just make sure you get them to sign a release form.
