Is PlentyofFish really making $10k a day from Adsense? I don't buy it

Do you buy it? That's very far fetched. Even with a million hits a day, you are lucky to make $100 or $200 a day from google ads. But $10,000 a day? No way. Dating ads don't even pay that much.

Did this reporter believe him without proof?

 

It deosnt matter for me.
I believed that they might make $10,000 per day previously (few years ago) but definitely not now

You are wrong with your calculations I guess...With $1 ecpm 1 million page impressions will give you $1000 a day. In the video he says he gets around 600 millions page views a month, ie 20 millions a day!!!

Yup I could definitely believe it. With that kind of traffic you know those ads are getting clicks so you know their eCPM is way above $1 per day. I could easily see them doing $10k per day off adsense.

 

It's 4 years old. He was spending also money on adwords, it was the time when you could do arbitrage (paying adwords cheap to send visitors to your site and get clicks on adsense)
And yes with one million ad impression you would be very bad at this business if you can't get at least $1,000
dating ads pay much more than video games or desktop wallpapers that's for sure

Wow! I'm inclined to believe that, because it underestimated all my sites revenue from adsense.

To me, Plentyoffish is one of the biggest success stories on the net. This wasn't a huge company that started a dating site with millions to invest in advertising and marketing. This was a single guy working out of his apartment. The fact that he now makes more than $10,000 a day is awesome, though I heard some of his older checks were almost a million/month.

It doesn't matter, the problem with most of people who doesn't making $ with adsense they think no one can First accept yes people are making $ from adsense thn think for a while if if they making why I can't This is how I got there!

 

Yes they are making $10k/day from adsense and another 5-10k/day from there self serve advertising program.

 

IF they are so negative, let them be. We are better off with less noobs screwing around.

 

I think the only people that don't believe it's possible are those that haven't been too successful with AdSense.

But consider how much of that $10,000 per day goes into server costs and whatnot.

 

I believe they are making that kind of money as the popularity of the site is huge.

 

Function wise... Plenty of Fish blows. It's a horrible match site. The only good aspect of it is that it's free. I'm sure they do make that much, there was a niche for a free match site, and they filled it. Now only if they would funnel some of the $$$ back into their website development...

 

I did not actually bother to read this entire thread but you can rest assured that he sleeps on a bed made of money. He launched a free dating site at the perfect time. It's that simple.

that too, nothing wrong with dropping 10 grand to make it pretty and a bit more usable.
