before few days, I said its not, (above 1st post), but today I say it is. Because getting an unauthorized copy of a digital media also a theft. EG- a car, you can't get a copy of a car which is parked somewhere, so you have to take the original one and that is a theft but in digital media, you can't steal the original one, only you can get a copy, if without a proper authorization, its a theft.
I couldn't agree more. Pirates forget that this is someone's livelyhood that they put out there only to have thousands of people take it without paying for it.
If you spent thousands of dollars making a script and someone came along made a copy and handed it out for free online, how would you feel? Wouldn't you classify that as theft? Same situation here if you think about it.
Hell, yeah. We pay very little for what we get because it's spread out over so many. I don't think the movie ticket is that expensive - it's the extras like drinks and popcorn and parking that gouge!
You are just making the excuse and giving us the substitute of the piracy. In my opinion piracy is a theft only, coz if you are making a copy from the original and scattered that in the market then what is the value of the original, when peoples are getting the same thing in less price especially for the movies and softwares. So due to the piracy the value of the original is totally lost out and no one now wants to take the original when piracy is available.
