Hi, Lately, I have been receiving a lot of requests on Pinterest. Can anyone out here please tell me exactly how important it is for link building?
I don't think so that it adds some real value to your link building efforts but you can surely get some traffic through it.
Surely, you will get backlinks to your website and it will be beneficial if your website is related to photography stuff or so... Obviously you can add video's related to your domain telling about some interesting facts which may result in a positive form.
Yes, Pinterest is excellent for link building. Google seems to love Pinterest, and even though they are no follow it's still a good idea to get backlinks from their site.
Hi Souptik, Yes, Pinterest is a tool that can help you get backlinks. It has a very simple interface and is user-friendly and continues to gain in popularity. Pinterest also has the capability to aid you in reaching out to bloggers within your niche and other relevant niches. James Gurd at Econsultancy Digital Marketers United wrote an article about how to use Pinterest for link building. He gives a step-by-step guide which includes this tip: "Step 4. Evaluate the options and pick the ‘winners’ My definition of a ‘winner’ is a pin where either the person who pinned it represents a high quality target for SEO, or the referral website where the image comes from represent a high quality target (in the context of the keyword hit list you are targeting). How to decide this For people: Assess pinners on the following criteria: How popular are they on Pinterest? If they were to pin your content, what reach could it have? Are they regular content contributors or are they ‘once in a while’? The more regular the better as they are more likely to build an audience. How active are they on social media? What other social audiences could you tap into if they were interested in what you have to offer? How good is their own website? Is it professional and would it be a positive association for your brand? If they can tick the box for all of these criteria, this indicates that this person is worthwhile connecting with and encouraging them to use their social influence to increase the impact of your brand. Please note, I’m not just talking about getting them to push you on Pinterest. I mean this in the wider SEO context, building proactive relationships whereby you can build links and social sharing via their web presence and audiences." "Although content may be the king in the SEO world, audiences love pictures, and the common adage, “A picture is worth a thousand words,†reinforces the impression that an image can convey an idea or tell a story. With the aim of “connecting people to things they love,†Pinterest is wearing the social media crown, and businesses are discovering how the picture-sharing site helps their e-commerce traffic climb." Yeah, Pinterest is an image oriented site. I just started creating an account for that however I still don't know if I will get a positive feedback and will help on my link building
I am not sure about link building but it doesn't hurt to try. It certainly is good for your clients though, because they like to see images, and other people like to be inspired. Always make sure to keep watermark on images as well as link back to your site.
I don't think pinterest links carry much value in terms of google but depending on the target audience of your site that your promoting it could help in terms of traffic and conversions
I think Pinterest can generate good traffic and it is best for image based site. And there are more female user on Pinterest so stuff related to them can get more traffic.
If you have a blog or website with lots of good images in it (specially infografic) then u shld must try Pinterest..
Pinterest does not allow no follow links so it probably is not too good for link building but it can provide some quality traffic
