But I have seen people bidding for $60 and $100 in some directories. If it get ban why they are placing their links in this directories?

    Those bids are fake.

Directory owner puts them manually, usually they are also his sites. No sane person would bid xx$ to put his link on the front page of a buying links system.

I never submit my site to bid directories, and was wondering why there are so many links there, now I got the idea.

Like clothing, the fad has come and gone. The current trend of utilizing dropped domains and those with redirected or spoofed PR probably won't last long either as the populous of those with pixel envy are slowly evolving out of their state of ignorance.

I've never been a fan of bid directories
but with that said... any directory can make you money if you have high PR and market it correctly.
and google didn't "ban" the script
stop posting your opinions as facts

back the claims up with links pls ;)

A normal link directory is fine if you market it correctly.

I don't think the script has been banned, I think just a certain sites that were penalized by the search engine, not all were affected. The big boys got hit bad, one of my bid directories which had a PR4 on the index and a PR5 on the Blog.domain.com now is at PR0 which probably wont recover (as far PR is concern) unless some drastic changes are made.

No I don't think the script had anything to do with being banned, just take http://www.emilliebidit.com/ still has a PR3 and some PR's on it's inner pages.

My bid directory I talked about above it is not banned, just not recovering the PR status, this could also be because much of the higher PR links that I bought no longer is linked to it.

I'm not sure what is being asked. Do you want to know if you can earn money with a "directory", or using a particular directory software to do so, or both?

If you are asking about a "directory" per say, sure you can earn money.. The keyword here is EARN though. You will need to do a lot more work than most are willing to do vs. the return. Do that, and you'll make money!

If you are asking if you take a Mr. Popeil approach and "Set it and Forget it", then no you are not going to make money. Directories do not just hang out in cyberspace collecting coin. They take work, maintenance, updating and promoting.

phplinkbid sites are still profitable IF YOU DO IT RIGHT!

its easy enough to call out the cheaters I can show you how if ya need...

plus the script is very affordable and includes free lifetime upgrades and phplinkbid boss Tekime is a very nice fella.

Google doesnt ban scripts that just ridiculous just take a look at yacg those sites still get indexed and rake in tons of traffic until the domain gets banned.
