    Hi

am posting on phpfox to get a more rounded view

The is hell at the phpfox forum as thay have not provided a very inportent and critical update which was promised at the end of last month it was due out on the 31

Now its nuthin new for developers to miss deadlines and most ppl dont mind as coding a script like phpfox is a big job and we all prefer a script that works late rather than a script on time thats buge and limmeted due to being rushed out.

Where i get the felling with phpfox this time it maybe more to do with cash flow .

resons i say this is because there has been no word from phpfox about this missing stabel update not one word the forum is up in arms and is getting to alrming levels watching it build up over the week has been funy. But phpfox could nip it in the bud by saying some thin any thin thay have stopet anssering tickets. Its not that the users are mad about not getting the update there mad because there not being told whsts going on nd the only stabel v1.5.7 will kill even the most powerfull server with no more than 10 ppl online.

so all phpfox customers are with in there right to be pissed.

When a company starts ignoring tickets and not ansering a simple Q like ok you have over run when do you expect it to be ready. even if thay said big problem found mager bug dont know how long. No ppl wont be happy but at lest then thay know and can work around it rather than just be keeped in the dark.

If am not misstakin phpfox is based in florida and was funded over there and grew in to what we now to day as phpfox but like most development companys thay contract a lot of the development out to india.

The bug tracker on the phpfox site is showing that all bugs have been fixed so why is it not been relesed if the the company in indea havenot been payed then thay would not let phpfox have the script.

I hope its not true but it s got all the signs of a firm on the brink of going bust i hope not i think its a gr8 scrpt but thay are the tell tail signs of a company trying to raise some cash not saying any thin to the customes because there hopeing that lone will come frw any day now

Any way thats just my thorts what do you lot think with you not being involved you mite see it diffrently

I've been disappointed with PHPFox ever since I bought a license from them. They looked so promising at first. Then they sold the company, and now the forums are a marketplace for mods/skins.

Not sure if they are in trouble but I just setup my site about 2 weeks ago on 1.5.1 and everything has been flawless so far. I have it integrated with phpbb and coppermine and now moving to the video integration.
