if you have to ask then Photoshop probably is not for you. It is a very mature and sophisticated piece of software aimed at professionals and as such there is a substantial learning curve although that is at least partially offset by the 1000's of tutorials. There are many alternatives .... just on a side note. I have a pet peeve with people that always suggest GIMP is a good alternative to Photoshop. GIMP is a good alternative to any of the entry level paint programs but it is not even close to Photoshop. It might be all you need though as it is very capable and it is FREE.
I think Photoshop is the best for photographers and for digital artists and for designer is Illustrator necessary too.
Yes it is easy to use as a Graphic designer. One of the best reason that you'll make yourself a professional through tons of free tutorial there in Google.
Photoshop for me is the best. But, if you are good enough at any design software you can produce great results. I suppose it's all down to what your used to using and feel comfortable with. I have been using Photoshop for a couple of years now, i'm not a ninja but i'm pretty nifty at what i need it for. Logo's, banners, ads, etc. what helps is that over the years i have collected packages of images so it's much easier now that i have a library of images i can design what i want.
Anthing comes from Adobe is GREAT. Period Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, ......ect. These are very practical and flexible to use..
No doubt Photshop is the best amongst the similar software, But you may like Affinity photo as well . It has some unique feature like in-built frequency separation, live preview etc .
Great idea. Most of my graphic design is website-based and I find that Inkscape can do pretty much everything I need, too! Oh, and it's free!
Photoshop is raster based tool and illustrator is vector based. Mostly we use Photoshop for web design, Mockup design etc however it can be use for image treatment for example if you wana change the color of background image it can be done easily in photoshop.
It is indeed one of the best graphic design tool that is available in the market. But there are many more which are coming up nowadays, that are even better, not better actually but these all are of different kinds, some can help you with just editing, some help you create some images, some help you with processing the image to a better quality image. So, there are different tools for different jobs. you can always use a Photoshop editor but somehow it gets hard all with that layer and layouts. You can try Vennage, Avocode etc. Here are some more: https://elink.io/p/top-graphic-design-products
I've tried many softwares and none of them works so friendly as Photoshop. For me, the layers are an incredible tool to work with designs while Illustrator lacks of this.. There is a program which works with layers and is more related to designing: Affinity Designer! I just saw a couple of videos/reviews, haven't used it yet but seems outstanding and if you are familiar to Photoshop, it is basically the same
Photoshop can do just a lot of things, but currently I'm doing some UI/UX staff and Adobe XD or Sketch is better for me to do that kind of job, because of the vector graphic, only needed functions and on my laptop these apps work smoother than PS.
Not only Photoshop, other Adobe programs are useful for graphic design too! Like Illustrator and Indesign. I suggest master your skills one program at a time.
