Thanks pizzaman I didn't know. I really do wish them luck too! Its terrible that for the longest time there hasn't been peace in the middle east, hopefully this will be a turning point and many will benefit from it.

thank you . we have passed a couple of days now
we need to do a little more than hope. we should support and let it be known that there are more people that support peace than those who oppose it.

No. Have terrorists ever acted rational, obeyed contracts and obligations?

actually no, Israel proved many times before that they do not respect cease fires, never acted rational and never obeyed contracts and obligations.

Each side always claims the other broke it, so let's review...

Israel acts rationally and works to protect the lives of people. Hamas works for the destruction and genocide of Israel and the Jewish people. Hmmmm.

    I trust Israel before Hamas.

Why would they leave strategic positions and give them back to people that want to and have tried to ethnically cleanse them?

geez, you're such a troll. There are dozens upon dozens of threads about the fighting and reasons for it.

This is the peace thread. If you aren't going to encourage it, you could just avoid posting and move on. No need to thread jack.

    Who ethnically cleansed who?
    1948 Palestinian exodus
And what "strategic positions" you're talking about? Golan heights? So in 21st century you need a hill to have strategic advantage on your enemy? :D
Isn't a bit odd that all those "strategic positions" was included in map that zionist showed at Paris peace conference back in 1919. ?

On topic: cease fire is a start. Let's see how it will go. Wish them all the best.

I never said anyone cleansed. I said "tried" to cleanse.

    Yes.

Zionist eh? Are you an anti-Semite? I'm not sure how it's odd, it makes even more sense that the strategic positions would be selected since people in the middle east were foaming at the mouth talking about destroying the Jews.

So how would you call expelling 700,000 people from their homeland? As I can read history someone DID ethnically cleansing so your claim that someone "tried" is false.

    lol
So what "strategic positions" Israel have to attack Iran? I'm curious to hear that. :D

One more time: zionists. If you took the time to read link I've provided you would see it for yourself:
    Paris Peace Conference, 1919
See? Should I quote it few more times? You never heard of World Zionist Organization?

And you ask me how is it odd? They showed map in 1919. saying this is what we will take for our land and yet you see nothing wrong with it?
I dare you to post sources which says anything like this back in 1919.: "people in the middle east were foaming at the mouth talking about destroying the Jews.". Take as much time as you want. :)

I agree this is a peace thread, so I won't reply posts here, will just post translated to English lyrics for a song :D

For you, city of prayer, I pray
For you beautiful city, flower of cities
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, city of prayer, I pray

Our eyes travel to you every day
Moving about the hallways of the temples
    Embracing the old churches
    Wiping sadness from the mosques

Night of the isra, path of he who ascended heavenward
Our eyes travel to you every day, and I pray

The child and his mother Mary in the cave, two crying faces.
    For those made homeless
    For the children without houses
For those who defended at the gates and were martyred
Peace itself was martyred in the nation of peace
and Justice fell at the gates

When the city of Jerusalem toppled
Love retreated and in the hearts of the world, war settled

The child and his mother Mary in the cave, two crying faces.

The blinding anger is coming and I am full of faith
The blinding anger is coming and I will bypass the sadness
From every road it is coming, with the awesome steeds it is coming
As the omnipresent face of God it is coming, coming, coming

The gate to our city will not close, for I am going to pray
I will knock on the gates, I will open the gates
And you Jordan River will wash my face with sacred water
And you Jordan River will erase the traces of the barbaric feet

The blinding anger is coming, awesome steeds it is coming
It will defeat the face of oppression
The house is ours, Jerusalem is ours
And with our hands we are going to return the city to its splendor

With our hands peace is coming to Jerusalem.

Who was the one ethnically cleansing lol? It wasn't Israel that expelled anyone. Talk to the UN.

All countries are built on strategic positions, so they can protect themselves. You seem to have anti Jewish undertones to your post.

When you use the term Zionist, you using in the sense of an innuendo. As in a big Zionist Jewish conspiracy to take over the world. You're acting like an anti-Semite.

They showed a map of what would make an ideal country for the Jewish people. All countries are built on strategic positions. What's so odd about that?

I'm not here to dig up information for you. It's the most common thing in the world. The Jews have been the most persecuted religion in the history of the world and the muslim countries in the middle east aren't shy about their desire to wipe the Jews off the planet.

    1948 Palestinian exodus
    Yeah, the UN expelled them...

All I can say on this nonsense is one big LMAO! If that's true we would still have wars all over the world someone's trying to get better "strategic position".

LMAO one more time! Can you find any of my posts where I said anything about nonsense about someone taking over the world! :D
If World Zionist Organization showed a map than it's World Zionist Organization and not frigin' boy scouts!
And you calling me anti-semite because I said zionists for World Zionist Organization!?! Get real!

    Nothing odd huh?
How about those 700,000 Palestinians that Israel didn't expelled? Could they make jewish state with Palestinian majority? ANd they didn't expelled them! lol

When you claim something than you need to back it up with sources. Saying that something is "most common thing in the world" doesn't make it fact and you know it. The problem is with your claim that you can't back it up with sources.
When Jews were persecuted in Russia in 1881-1882 they fled to Palestine: first aliyah
When Jews were persecuted in Czarist Russia they fled to Palestine: second aliyah
Then again in Russia and also in Poland and Hungary they again fled to Palestine: third aliyah
Again after persecutions in Poland they again fled to Palestine: fourth aliyah
And finally after nazis took power in Germany Jews started to fled. Do you know where? To US? No, to Palestine: fifth aliyah
And you want to tell me that all those Jews that found safe haven, after been persecuted in christian countries, in Palestine were dumb or what?
I'm curious: can you show me sources for your claim:"muslim countries in the middle east aren't shy about their desire to wipe the Jews off the planet."?
Ah yes! You're not here to dig up informations for me! It's the most common thing in the world. :D

Your talking about a religious war, you do realize that right?

They two groups have fought for over 2,000 years it will not end any time soon...

With the exception of the return of Christ, but I do not want to go into details of that here.

It would be great to have peace. Peace is what I want. However the question is what God's will is. And as far as I know, the bible doesn't predict it any time soon.

get over this once and for all. stop believing religious fanatics.
This is not a religious war. Israel is not the biblical dream. it is just a country made because of the necessity that jewish people felt for their safety
Hagee and people, that tell you this, are filling their pocket.
they are deceiving you. snake oil salesmen. nothing more.
    -=*=
please every one you can post your argument, peace is the logical solution to this conflict and my logic is strong.
