Is Paypal the best option?

    Paypal is a good option since they will also let people pay by credit card, so they don't *have* to have a Paypal account...just keep in mind there are some countries that Paypal still doesn't do business with and that could cost you some sales, so you may want to consider an alternative option as well.

    I recommend you to use PayPal, Google Checkout and Authorize.net payment services.

    I would go with PayPal in the beginning and even permanently if you have no problems with them. They do have an "air" of respectability and do communicate professionalism to your customers.

    Personally, though, after a number of months, I would open a second merchant account and take orders directly from my site. I just like the convenience and plus, I've heard of accounts being frozen with paypal and some issues arising from time to time. This is usually the exception and not the rule, but still, I'd start with paypal and then move to another after a very profitable period of time.
