I am running a membership-based site and using Paypal to accept payment. I'm wondering if that's the best option. Would you register for a membership site that used Paypal to handle the subscriptions? Does using Paypal communicate "individual blogger" or "professionally-managed business"? I don't have a problem with paypal but I'm wondering if I should change to a merchant that allows me to take credit card payments directly from my site.
PayPal is certainly most commonly used and it doesn't sends any message to your customers about the size of your website (company or individual blogger). You can always look to add payment alternatives or merchant account. Personally, I use 2checkout.
No, it's not. There are others with faster payment processing and lower taxes, but PayPal is the most widely used.
It's you best choice because the customers trust Paypal a lot! When a customer see that you process with Paypal it automatically means SAFE and SECURE
paypal is good enough but it will always be better if you can add another option - merchant that allows you to take credit card payments directly from the site
Yeah PayPal is fine in my opinion, it's the most used platform meaning that's what most people would know how to use .
Most people will prefer paypal than to share their credit card information. Alternatively you can get a merchant gateway to process your payments for you.
Yes , paypal is the best option for such websites ,but it will be best if you can also have other payment gateways like payza , mainly google checkout along with paypal..so people can choose what ever is convenient for them..
PayPal is not the best option if you are based outside US. Their process of identity checking is very boring and annoying. For users outside US another good alternative is 2checkout.com
Yes, in 2checkout you just fill-in in the first screen the payment amount, and in the second screen you choose to pay by PayPal, by check or whatever else method. This new 2checkout + PayPal integration is a realtively new option. I guess since 3-4 years ago...
Choosing between the best and the most widely used can be a tricky thing. If you can make sure your users get the same experience with another payment processor and you think that is better then paypal then go for it! But a lot of people recognize paypal and have used it in the past so it's a safe bet to get started with. If possible I think you should offer as many payment processors as possible so everyone gets what they want.
I suppose most people now have eBay accounts, so they'll have signed up for Paypal as well. It's easy to use, and that's what people like. Paypal also keep a nice record for your accountant if required.
PayPal is a great option in the payment and receive money paypal also reach out to all bloggers and business
