Is Paypal suitable for sales from $100 - $40,000+

    Hello

Quite a spread I am afraid. I sell software to small business - hence the $100 amount, but also to large businesses where the amount can be $10,000 possibly up to say $80,000. Although $80,000 would be rare (unfortunately).

I heard that Paypal had a limit but I don't see any View Limits on my Paypal account. It is a business acount so is it possible there is NO limit to amounts I can receive?

Best answer would be Paypal has no limits on receiving for business acounts. but I obviously want to know the facts.

I'm not sure about the limits but would you really trust paypal with that much? and would you be prepared to pay the large fees?

Can you elaborate on your statement. Why would I not trust Paypal? Would I have an issue retrieving funds paid into my Papyal account? What is the deal?

At the moment online payments are an addition to my business. So I am not so worried about commission rate - although it does matter of course. What alternative would you recommend?

For large amounts won't *real* businesses use a wire transfer?

The biggest reason sellers fear Paypal, is when the buyer reverses the transaction.
If you 'trust' the business, then you should be OK.

Yes, thinking about it $80,000 is a bit of a dream. We would probably invoice them. But certainly $10,000 or so I believe is feasible with a corporate credit card.
