Can paypal be use on online store? like selling books etc, if yes the email of your paypal account would be visible the public, right? how can i secure my paypal? thanks!
Yes as long as you don't do anything against their TO's. I've been using it for more than three years and I've been pretty satisfied. No my account has never been hacked. Yes. Yes your right.
Paypal is safe that's why it has become one of the largest payment processor and Ebay purchased it. They monitor activities on their site and anything illegal will make your account suspended making withdrawal unavailable for 6 months..
I've been using PayPal for about 8 years and never had an issue. Just make sure you use a unique and strong password; and not one you use on other sites.
PayPal is widely accepted and so you have no choice other than PayPal. It's safe if you follow the rules. Don't click on links from your mail, that may take you to a PayPal look-alike site and you lose your account. There are chances of getting scammed all the time but you've to take chances.
As far as account hacking is concerned paypal is safe in regards to the same, but still it is not completely safe. You need to be very careful while selling your products and services to other people because paypal provides buyers with the option of charge back and scammars can take undue advantage of that options, so you need to watch out your clients before dealing with them. As long as you stick to their rules you are fine. I even know a guy working in Pizza Hut who gets paid paypal (dunno if everyone there does) has anyone been hacked using paypal? Never. Though im in the spotlight for some. Just have a password thats NOT the same as any else you use, and please delete mails from paypal containing passwords for it. Can paypal be use on online store? Yes, as long its not porn or illegal books , and yes, mail will be visible to public. So use a mail like how can i secure my paypal? I think i explained in all above. But just dont fall for phishers, scam mails and have some virus scanner
Yes it one of the most establish company and is back up by ebay. Personally my account not hacked but i have heard a lot of stories that their paypal account is hacked. Yes you can sell using your PP account but you must use biz account
Paypal is ok if you use it right. It cost a bit more to use percentage wise but if you don't sell more than $2500 per month it is the best option. The better choices might charge monthly fees, etc.

Paypal is as safe as the net comes. Paypal accounts get compromised everyday, but its because people allow themselves to be phished. Would paypal be a good payment processing method on a web store? I would say yes because it is a known & trusted name. Overall I think Paypal is fine. I consider their fees to be high. Time to make deposits from your paypal account to your bank account take too long. But my biggest issue with paypal is they take very little responsibilty with fraudulent charge backs. Amazon has launched a payment processing service. I haven't looked into it though, but that would be something to consider as Amazon certainly is a trusted name to customers and would be very secure as well. Good luck.
