Is paypal currency rate same as xe.com rate.?
For e.g if XE.com shows 1 USD = INR 40.11, then is paypal conversion rate same as that (INR 40.11) ?

How can i know what is the currency rate today (means at present) in paypal?

No it differs...updated once a day. Currency conversion changes apply.
PP exchange rate can be seen by proceeding with a withdrawal.

XE.com uses just an average rate which the banking institution uses but they are by no means the same for all banks as they can vary in rates. It is just an indication but by no means the same as the standard retail rates which we mere humans have access to.

Paypal uses its own bank rates and they vary throughout the day. All Paypal rates comes with the published 2.5% foreign exchange fees and thus the exchange rate would appear lower.

Nope. Paypal currency rate is not same as xe.com rate. There is always diff. of around Rs.1 (Paypal rate is lower then xe rate).

In fact the rate is much lower.
In addition to this, they charge an addition fee for a converison.
How more corporate can they get, I ask myself.
Next thing they will do is charge us for logging in or so.
