I will be getting an HSBC international debit card with a VISA logo, very shortly. Can I use it to get my paypal account verified? If not, why? Paypal claims that we can use any debit card with a VISA or MasterCard logo for verification, because such a debit card will be considered a credit card; however, I've been hearing rumours on Internet that it is not feasible for a debit card from any bank in India to pass through the verification process successfully. Can anybody let me know what is so wrong in using a debit card? For those ineligible or incapable to get themselves a credit card for whatever reasons, what other alternatives are left by paypal? Last question: What's the maximum amount an unverified paypal user can withdraw to his bank account, in a month?
Indian Debit CArds cannot be used to verify the paypal account (due to some restrictions by RBI). Only Indian Credit cards are accepted .
I tried HDFC international debit card and it didn't worked. I think you need credit cards to verify the accounts. if the reason for not getting credit cards is no regular job, etc. then you can invest some amount with the bank and you can ask them to provide credit card based upon your deposits. ICICI and HDFC provides those facilities. Check with your bank before investing. Thanks
