Is payment check can be deposited anywhere especially not in the intended country?

    I posted this question on AdSense help forum but could'nt get any reply.

    The story is that, I received my payment check (in US$), but my country's recent restriction on foreign currency checks doesn't allow me anymore to deposit this into my local bank.

    Now, my question is that, the same check issued for country of account origin can be deposited in other country? The account holder at the other country the same person.

    Anybody can shed some light on this. . . . . Please

    I highly appreciate any or all efforts in this regards,

    which country you live?? and what is the law of that country about money transfer? can you provide? Thanks.
