    Hello to all,

I have a partnership offer from one SEO company about:
    • I will provide small link in the bottom of my pages to the list links to SEO company partners with limitation 25 links to partners from any page.
    • I will not control the list of links but SEO company looks good and serious.

Company will provide the full SEO service for the period of a contract (one year). Like:
    • Directory submissions
    • 10 Themed links
    • 25 Social Bookmarks
    • Search Engine Submissions
    • 25Blog & Article Submissions
    • Onsite guidelines

    And my questions:
    • Is it profitable?
    • Can it damage SEO of my site?
    • Does anybody use this type of service and with which result?

Thank you for reading so long post! :)

It can damage your ranking. Who would know what type of links and how often will they change it.

    I would skip the offer.

It can harm your site - Google has a policy against paid links.
Do a lot of people do it and get away with it? Yes. Is there any guarantee that you'll get away with it? No.
Putting (site-wide?) links in your footer seems a very crude way of doing it, and one that is likely to flag up that they are paid links to google straightaway.
And a lot of what theyr'e offering isn't worth much - search engine submission is a complete waste of time and no reputable seo company would even mention it. And these 25 social bookmarking and blog and article submissions - is that 25 a week? a month? a year?
The more I look at it, the dodgier it seems.

I really do not know how often they can change links. But when I asked about possibility to approve each link from my side before putting it to my site they told me "it is too long procedure for so routine operation"

    Thanks for answer!

25 social bookmarking and blog and article - two times a year.
But about guaranties... you are right I really doubt in the positive result. It is why I posted my questions here, just share my doubts and receive advices from much more experienced colleagues.

What they offering you is nothing.
You can buy 100 social bookmarking for 8$.

There is nothing worse then not control raw links on your site.

And just how much are they asking for this "service"? And exactly what do they think it will do to your rankings? Which keywords are they targeting? How much search traffic monthly do the engines get for those keywords? How competitive are the keywords? Have you seen other sites with this SEO's links?

I AM a full-time SEO, during the day and after hours... and I would NEVER enter into an agreement with any SEO company without first having VERY clear goals as to which keyword phrases you want to target, a baseline of where you rank for them currently, performance based targets for where you want them to rank AFTER their work is done, and measurements in place to track the success of the SEO firm (rankings and traffic increases for the targeted keyword phrases).

Just reading what they are talking about doing, I doubt VERY seriously it will have any major affect on your ranking and traffic if your vertical is even the slightest bit competitive.

The best advice I can give is, "Get references of other sites who participate. Check out the sites. Check out their rankings for the keyword phrases they use as the link text. Contact them and find you what THEY think about the "service" and how it increased their rankings and traffic."
