not at all directories are just used to create backlinks to get your webpages indexed to google it will not make any leads in bringing traffic to your website. So better avoid paid directory
yes...But there is many High PR websites sell or a provide space for backlink of another sites with more expensive than high PR directories do. even they ask US350 per month just for one link.
Don't think anyone would pay $350 per month for a link on a directory today. As Mia mentioned, 10 years ago may be yes.
When you submit a link for Paid or free directory there is some points you have to realize. 1- The age of the directory. 2- Do the directory includes really useful content? 3- Did Google crawl or index all the pages. 4- Are the top categories full of the links! 5- Do the webmaster editing the links? 6- Are the latest links added in the most accurate category! 7- Pricing. Do you pay a fee one time or yearly? Hope this will help
I don't think I'd pay that much even for a lifetime. My hosting plus domain for 2 years cost me less than 80$.
if you doing your own seo it will be worth . paid only bring few effect to your website and it will not bring much changing . whatever you paid do not hope a huge impact to your site.
Guys Guys..... please read this article by none other than Neil Patel, one of the authorities in the SEO/SEM field. Please read the First (1st) point....and Two (2nd)........ ! If you are old enough in the field... hasn't (hadn't) Google penalized MyBlogGuest? There were no money exchange going on over there.... and still Google punished those who tried to publish articles, Infographics for no money or paid links. Now do you think you can just publish any rubbish on a blog through MBG? they had strict mechanism to allow any sort of articles to be offered by writers and also had mechanism to check the quality of blogs of the publishers. What they did was offer publishers quality articles and in exchange offer SEOs to build links. NO MONEY INVOLVED whatsoever! STILL GOOGLE PENALIZED PUBLISHERS AS WELL AS FIRMS WHO HIRED SEOs. TOO sad. Now regarding to point # 4 please check on these articles by none other than Barry, especially Don't Ask for Links ! I am not sure if you are getting it to where I want to go! What I mean is " You can't do that, You can't do this... Blah Blah Blah" . The point is if you site is of high quality and if it gets links from every spectrum of the sites, specially your niche, a good number of links from old and established directories will only be handful to your site and not harm it. But if you you submit to every other directory PAID or FREE which have no editorial integrity -- it will diminish the gains you got out of your natural links. Period. Bottom Line: BUILD A GOOD SITE and earn through it. Google is not against any types of link ------- but against those sites who are here just for the $$$$ and not for visitors be it linking site or MFM. Quality directories still ROCK! Cheers
How is shoe laces are good for SEO shoes? I don't believe stupid question is deserve an answer and specially when it won't make any difference one way or another. fastreplies
Paid and free directories do not matter in the seo because link durability stands main purpose here. If a website provides long time duration stable link then you have maximum chance to enhance domain authority. Paid directories are also good for seo and provide best link durability compare than free directories. Don't afraid to make link upon paid directories and use also free directories but high authenticate.
It doesn't matter if your link on free or paid directory, The important is , the power of this directory in seo !
Let me answer: If you take the worthless junk b2b Yell style ones - its doubtful the owners have any money to put into marketing period, or they surely would have done so by now. No - the majority of directory owners are in this to cream off as many £10 fees as possible - that's it. Their hosting is paid for by themselves, from whatever full/part-time job they got. If a directory is totally free, its only clientelle will be spammers, so no, it either make so little or no money at all. If the directory has say 3000 listings or more - then theres no way the owner will check it for broken links - so a giant No to that one. Top directories WILL be paid for sure, and no free links will be allowed - so forget that. And suggest the free ones will go paid at some point or die trying to do add-on sales for enhanced placement.
its about how much traffic can you give back to the so-called monster directory. If not - you will be paying a fee to get in or you'll be searching all over again, just to be turned down again, and again, and again....
I agree that paid directories are a good option to get backlinks. Apart from that it has nearly no effect on website traffic. I suggest paid links but not quite sure about free directories. Their credibility is questionable even if it has good PA DA and PR.
Why questionable - did you personally check out each one? I doubt you or anyone else does, so this is what you must do, for every site you want a link from. Sometimes you must question and bypass the usual noise that you get from blogs and forums. Most advice is from idiots and people who just haven't done what their spouting - so if you sort out the 300 or whatever links your interested in, then approach the websites and find out what they want - just be aware it will be money in exchange for placement. No money, then no link unfortunately - that's life friend...
They can prove to be beneficial if the quality of them is high with properly moderated links. Getting links approved on a number of such directories could prove to be beneficial.
