    High PR sites are useful for the off page optimization of your site. You just need to concentrate on building quality backlinks and PR will take care of itself. There is no special concentration needed for increasing the PR.

    Page rank is important in SEO because it shows the value of that site and you can get the high PR with the quality back links. I think with the PR other visitors can attract to your site.
