    Exactly. PR will still be a factor within google's algo, BUT making PR visible to us ONLY feeds data to spammers and link sellers, which both google dislikes. Why feed them the data needed for more spamming? My guess is 90+% of users do not know what PR is or care, so google is losing nothing by not sharing PR anymore.

    I am not sure if anyone realizes this, but Google actually has the option to purchase full and permanent rights to PageRank through 2011.

    Yes,Google has option to purchase full permanent rights to Pagerank through 2011.Last time Google bought rights in 2003 and it now ends in 2011.So Google can continue to extend its rights in next many years :)

    I am new to this forum so please all SEO guru's ignore my knowledge but as far as I know Google should not stop PR as like me there are many homes from US to Philipines dependent on this business , and I hope google will not take such a strong step or at least open some alternatives for us
