let's say i have site a with a current page rank of 3 and site b with a page rank of 0. what i want to know is if it's possible to use 301 redirect from site a to b to transfer the page rank?

It is my understanding that Google will eventually tranfer PR through a 301 redirect.

Would eventually be at the next Google PR update or before?

    I've been waiting.

You would more than likely not see the PR update on the toolbar until the next update, but the SERPs would be effected immediatly

yes, even I say it should and it might work, but try using domain A that is PR3 right now if you can and if u care about links. Also, the better way would be to try and email all people linking to you to change the links, but then even that has flaws, a lot of people might not do it or may even remove the link altogether.

    Your choice...I wouldn't do it..!!
