Is page rank a egoistic parameter?

    I hear from my senior SEO colleagues rating the Google page rank just a parameter and not a significant aspect. Any explanation for this arguement.

    Whatever your google page rank had up or down. it'll never affect to your site traffic.

    I think it's true. There are no evidence that PR affects somehow to your traffic

    these days pr doesn't even relate to search engine position!!! I have seened some results where a pr 5 page is ranked less than a pr 3 page.

    its just measure the site performance nothing else, important if you play with it

    PR is just a number. It doesn't relation with SERPs & traffic.

    Google surely based their PageRank to rank the site and page importance, with regards to visitor's point of view..
