I am wondering, Are PR's (Press-release) usful for sites? from most of the pr submssion sites we don't get any back links. so why Pr's holds that much importance in SEO
Just one thing, from which reason you have traffic ? IF there recurig customers, new only from advertising - then sure, PR not worth nothing. BUT - if huge part of traffic coming from google, we can start long discusion about PR.
Press release do not meant for getting backlink for a site. Press release is for announcing the launch of any new product or services or any events. It can give you traffic and also exposure to the word about your company, product and services, so PR still hold importance in online marketing.
Define "enough traffic" for me. If I owned a business, I wouldn't close up in the middle of the day and tell everyone to piss off because I'd had enough people come in for the day. If you have "enough traffic" then you've set your standards too low. Look at Apple for one. That company has a huge following and makes an incredible amount of money. But they're still out there trying to get new customers. If some guy with that much money thinks his company still needs new customers, then most of us are far from having enough customers.
Press releases rarely work for small businesses, though they can give you a dofollow and sometimes anchor text link.
