I have my eye on a Org Domain but dont wanna buy if it isn't worth it... For more details i can add is that the some domain with a .net Extension has alexa ranking under 10k.... So should i buy this domain?
I tend to go with the org before a net extension. For organic SEO I've had more luck with the org, plus subconciously people tend to place more trust in the org. That being said it's your metatags that will get them to click and your salesletter to make a sale.
.org is a very nice tld it is used widely for a lot of succesful sites such as dmoz.org swineflu.org and many more those are just 2 major .org domain sites. Thanks, John
Be careful of trademark infringement. If you are attempting to ride the goodwill of the existing .net, you could be looking at a trademark lawsuit.
.org really means organization but no in todays society its just another way to get a website name haha. I had the same problem choosing what one to go with i decided to go with a .net extension. But .org are just as good. (List: .com, .net,.org) the rest are garbage unless you have alot of money to throw down to get the website noticed.
If the Alexa of the .org domain is not good than you should go for .net with good alexa (less than 10K)
It worth to buy it since its a generic domain for the .net extension. You can use the .org domain to redirect the traffic to your .net domain.
