If so, what makes you think this way?

I don't know that either one of them is racist, what makes you think that if you do?

    No.

The only people that call Obama or his wife racists are complete loons who deserve to be completely dismissed as thinking adults.

Sadly, I've found that many of the people who call Obama or his wife racists on nonsensical grounds are actual racists themselves. Not too surprising, I suppose.

White folks give me the willies when they start talking about so called "reverse racism." It's an absolute crock of bull. And yes, I'm white myself - But unlike many white folks I have an understanding of history. We have not all arrived at this point in the same way.

Reverse racism, ever seen college scholarships? Minority scholarships are fine, majority scholarships are wrong and shut down by various agencies. That's how the world works now.

I don't think either are racist. But how would I know?

The term reverse racism is a misnomer in my opinion. Racism is racism. When you make it easier for someone to enter a job or get admitted into a school because of their race, you make it harder for someone else. When that is based on race, it is racism. You want a scholarship because of your race? Fine get one, but minimum race limits in the name of multiculturalism for companies and schools seems retarded (in the purist sense of the word).

You have to explain that one to me. Are you saying it is human nature? I personally think it is systematically instilled in people as a way to control them. I like to think of the way many Irish immigrants where treated as subhuman in the US hundreds of years ago even though they where white and how they where basically slaves for years of their lives as indentured servants. Or how many southerners were treated after the Civil War by northerners and vis versa. Maybe beating down others to lift yourself up is human nature MAYBE, but I don't know if I believe racism is a natural thing. I sure as hell hope not.

Racism as a general word can be related to things other than color of skin and nationality and ethnicity. I am saying racism can be implied and applied to everything and we all have it instilled in us in some form or another. It is then the individual as a person who choose how they process it and their own individual process how they apply it.

Well I don't agree with your definition of racism, but I think I might agree with your sentiment. Bias is what I would call it.

I believe the correct term you're looking for here is prejudice, not racist.
