I think you are in wrong category ............

I am using AVG its good, I dint find any problem

Norton also is good.. Antivirus are good if you have the latest engine with latest defination updates..

like if you are using norton 2003 ith latest update,it cant protect you from many viruses because the engine/software is old.

I love avg works great! But if your visiting sites that bombard you with viruses then eventually you'll get one:rolleyes:

for that you have to setup SPYBOT, and scan your system atleast once a week :)

You need an antivirus still. as spybot is for what the name says spyware, trojans & malware..

The thing with Norton is that it is a resource hog.

I had installed for a few weeks because it came free with my ISP package, but removed it this week because my machine was crashing on start up.

It's too early to tell yet whether Norton was the cause of this.

I'm quite happy to run a pc with out any anti-virus though as I haven't had a virus in ages.

If you are using a free avg version, then you could not blame AVG... if you got spyware instead of virus, then you could not blame AVG...

Why I am telling this?? because for me AVG is the best security suit out there. I am dealing with around 30 PC's everyday (verizon dsl customers) and Norton is one of the worst antivirus... Though I am a AVG is even better than our verizon internet security suit...

    Mcaffee is better than norton...

on my XP side, AVG works well and I find AVG the best anti-virus out there, but you need also Spybot Search & Destroy to really detect and delete spyware.

Yup I use CCleaner and AVG both.

On my other laptop I am using PC-cillian and giving them a try.

And I do have Norton on both laptops as well. But overall experience AVG IS the best overall.

Norton is the worst AV ever. The best are Nod32 and Kaspersky. I use nod32, it's the fastes AV I have seen. Avira Antivir is also very good and quite fast.

I have used nortan in the past and it found the it requires a lot of system resources which prompted my witch to AVG which works fine and requires less resource on my xp box

Norton sucks and i don't really know about AVG..
I would recommend you to use NOD32 and then download Spybot Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware 2007 and you should be fine :)

This one might be good based on your own experience but seems this one is not popular... Avast is better than Norton... Norton sucks and tech support agents are not approachable...
