I guess it's becoming an incidental part of googles indexing. google result-site:hidemein.com Some of those are pr0 even though they're not formally linked in. ROOFIS
no follow link is not bad as it improve indexing of that link if not indexed but it will not get a PR.
Wait, there's some misinforming happening in this thread: Googlebot WILL crawl through a no-follow link (if we changed all links to no-follow on the web do you think the Googlebot would stop crawling?) Googlebot WILL index a site through a prior crawl through a no-follow link Googlebot WILL use the anchor text of a no-follow link to determine some relevancy Googlebot WILL NOT pass PR juice through a no-follow link (so the prior page effectively will not leak any PageRank) I thought about typing on to affect the impact this would have in the SERP's but that's a whole other conversation. Essentially, you should try to acquire as many do-follow links as you can, while not intentionally avoiding no-follow because other search engines do not recognize "no-follow" the way Google does.
Do you want to say (since relevancy is essential for SERP position) that no-follow links help to improve SERP position? Cause they're not (see some of the previous posts twith a prooflink to oficial google's blog).
One other thing to add to this is the fact that Google totally expects you to have some NoFollow links... It's completely natural Having ONLY DoFollow is un-natural
I can`t agree with you. IMO, it's VERY natural not keeping in mind that you have to make something "no-follow".
I would rather have ten no-follow backlinks than no backlinks at all. The no-follow backlink could have no value but the crawler will STILL have access and crawl to your website. Yugo,
I don't think google crawl any of the link with no-follow attribute. So theres no question of SEO boost with such links but this will help you to bring traffic for your blog/website. -----------------------I agree with friend's tips maybe it is aslo can help to bring traffic for our blog/website.
Just imagine u own a blog which has constant vistors for the good content of your site, then I think on-follow will help u alot! So, the old cliche, every coin has two sides!
Most of us have seen examples where nofollow tags have boosted keyword rankings. Sometimes I think that a mix of nofollow and dofollow links looks more natural. A Link is A Link I think I think.
No Follow links can still help you rank in other search engine like Yahoo and Bing; so, it is still beneficial to gain some NO FOLLOW links.
wrong. nofollow links do still contribute to rankings. That Official Google blog post is 4 and a half years out of date !! An awful lot has happened in SEO in the last 4 and half years, and at the time of that post almost everyone agreed that PageRank was king for SERPs. Its very different now. Try and find a recent Google comment that states that nofollow links don't contribute anything to SERPs. Good luck with that one!
