No follow links as the name says does not have any impact on the SEO..Oly Dofollow links works for that matter..
In my opinion, you really don’t need to worry about this. Here are three good reasons why: 1. The search engines expect to see a balance of “no follow†and “do follow†links to your site. What those exact ratios are can be debated, but it is clear that you should not be trying to get every link to your site as a “do followâ€. 2. We haven’t seen any concrete proof that the three major search engines aren’t passing some link juice through “no followsâ€. In fact, we have seen some pretty good articles indicating that they feel they received some good link love from “no follow†links from authority sites. 3. Focus on getting links for traffic and you won’t have to worry about it at all. This is often lost with link builders. So much emphasis is placed on getting link juice for search engine rankings, that many forget that the best links of all bring real traffic to your site. If you get a link that sends you meaningful traffic, do you really care if it is “no follow†or “do followâ€? It all boils down to common sense – a balance of inbound links will generally do more to help your site when compared to concentrating on one method of link building. When in doubt, if it’s a quality site that wants to link to you, take the link, whether it is “do follow†or “no followâ€.
No, no-follow links are also useless for increasing SERP position. However, lots of no-follow links are good traffic provider.
A nofollow link is considered regular text. That's what Google says, no guarantee about the other search engines.
One really overlooked aspect of linking is the fact that sites use other sites as references for important data. After all if I were Google, feeling like Facebook may actually gain enough traction on me, I would crawl their site and follow nofollow links just to make sure that my content is up to date. So even if they are not a direct affect to ranking, having them is a must. At the very least if would improve your crawl priority to Google.
nofollow link can get traffic to your site, but have no direct effect on rankings formally. if you have many nofollow link, i think maybe these links can prove your rank a little.
No follow links are for traffic but for Yahoo these helps to get ranking fast, Google dont recognize no follow links, so to be better index & ranking in Google, always work on do follow links.
Yeah no-follow links are only good for traffic but its not crawled by Google. Like twitter is also no follow but in the point of view traffic it give better result.
nofollow links do not pass any kind of credit to your page... But they do get indexed if other dofollow pages are linked to it. Different search engines handles nofollow links differently.
Nofollow links don't pass any link juice - so you're SERP position won't improve... Why are you asking? A quick google search for "no follow links" could have answered that for you. Nofollow links are good for free marketing, and getting your brand out there. That's it.
I highly agree with you hienin - don't worry about no follow or do follow for the most part. And I disagree with many of you that no follow links don't help with se rankings. Google isn't the only search engine people - don't forget that. And I actually believe that they even help with google with tests I've done. And when you do link:site in yahoo you will see your no follow links listed - so they know they're there. Don't be so quick to believe what everyone else is saying people - get a good mix of do follow and no follow links like hienin said - it's the smart move.
nofollow/dofollow is only used by google but not other search engine, nofollow link still help you to get better SERP on other search engine, not only generate traffic.
