Google will no give you BL from nofollow link. So there is no use in the case of Google. But you can get click from the linked site
depends on their source. i have wondered what the value of a nofollow link from bbc.co.uk might have. even though it does not follow, the SE's can tell which sites are the BIG ones.
Unless you are using them to get ranked in Yahoo! or other SE's besides Google, I use the domain name instead of anchor text for nofollow links. The reason is that the link isn't passing a "vote," so the anchor text becomes worthless. However, having your domain name as text on a topically relevant site with high PR does have a little bit of value-- especially if it is surrounded by good keywords.
Google ignoring no-follow links is a myth. You'd have to be a fool to believe that. Obviously they were implemented to cut down on spam, which they succeeded tremendously in. Place a link on a popular wikipedia article to your site and see what happens to your rankings (before it gets removed), and then tell me that Google doesn't factor no-follow links.
No follow links also help in reffing. It can give traffic to your site. but Google is not counting it as a quality backlink.
if site meta tag comply with <noindex tag> then this site page wil not be indexed by search engine, having nofollow tag doesnt mean that ur site wil not be indexed, this tag confine to send link juice or populate the page being marketed why cant google disallow these nofollow pages, if they have good information let me explain
If no follow links are on high traffic blog. It will increase traffic towards your website. Also comment on related blogs using major keyword as anchor text
it won't help seo. but it helps traffic on high traffic blogs. afterall traffic is what converts to money not PR ratings =)
Actually yes I would, and so would most people. Why would you factor in something that somebody told you to ignore? If somebody told you to not jump off a bridge then are you saying you would? Google does use your no-follow links for something, but they are not nearly as important as a dofollow link
Yes No follow links are absolutely helpfull and also no fallow links will helpful to get free traffic.
If you agree with me that targeted traffic is more important than SERP, then high traffic nofollow link is helpful.
Many of us rank as a google and google have not index nofollow so it's not have any benifit to nofollow links.
It depends where they are. Not good for search engine rankings. But if the site has high traffic you might get a lot of visitors.
nofollow only applies to google, yahoo and msn will pick it up and you can get quite a bit of great traffic through those search engines.
I'm sorry. I'm dumb. How can be useful a no follow link and how a no follow link can generate traffic? Can somebody explain? It looks like everybody knows and this is frustrating.
