.net domains are the same as .com domains, it all depends on the contents of your site to be SEO friendly

.net domain does not make any effect for seo purpose. All domain are same for Google.
Google only take care the quality content backlinks and visitors for a site . i.e why Wordpress and blogspot blogs even have good PR and indexed then other sites

Google doesn't make the difference, .net domains are as good as .com. I don't know why, but people will always click first on .com, then to .net. But the point is that .net domains are as good as any.:)

.NET is a top level domain, like .com and .org, so yes, it's fine.

from my experience from last 3 years, as far as it is a TLD then SEO is only dependent on the quality of your content..

It is as good as any other - I have a .net site ranking top 7 for an extremely competitive keyword. What do you think about .tv and .me domains, guys??

i don't think so Google have any policy regarding to more domain name, but it's clear that top domain is better than subdomain in any way

Yes.. both are treated same by SEO. Although, don't purchase .NET domain if the same domain is there with .COM extension.
