Is negative comment hurt Google ranking?

    My site has dropped in the search results and noticed that others have made negative comments about my links via SearchWiki. Does it hurt my ranking?

    In short, no.

    In long, possibly. If the owners of the sites linking to yours (inbound links) saw those negative comments and removed your link, it is possible your rankings would fall as a result. There are other situations as well, but all of these are indirect.

    I do know many people believe it might have but there is no proof to support the assumption.

    I would say no they don't hurt rankings, look for other possible reasons.
