My strategy: I have begun uploading videos to youtube. I'm gaining around 20-50 subscribers a day now and each of my video gets at least a couple thousand views. I was thinking once I get my ads set up and have my content and website fully developed I could mention my website in each of my videos. By the time I'll probably be getting 5k-10k views per video. I could easily get 5-10k views on my website per week if I link my website in each video. Do you think this will work in getting me money? Are my topics too broad? My website is going to cover the following -how to make money as a teenager -general high school academic advice (studying and such) - High school relationships -styles for girls and guys in high school -health, I know this doesn't fit but nearly every high school student wants to change their body so will this work? I know a lot about weight loss and muscle gain. -my personal blog
Having a broad website can be good since it can appeal to a wide audience, and remember content is important! you could always link niche related topics. good luck
It sound like a great idea. With that many viewers per day, you will get a lot of hits to your website. The topics may be broad but they all fit together (to me). Great idea. Good Luck
I have a client who does this on a regular basis and he admits he definitely gets traffic from his youtube videos where he advertizes about his url. His niche is sports. He makes the videos just to advertize about his site, so it definitely works!
If you put your mind to it and don't give up yea it will work,But here is some advice stick with only one thing.
liamthewhite, I agree with Bizjam. Broad is good sometimes - you hit many markets at once, and you can link the subjects you have to a lot of thimgs. For instance health - you can tag it as teenage health or High school health depending on your keywords. Something like teenage body building might be something you can add too at a later point.
