Is my website slow? and what might be causing it? any ideas?

So I have been making some small changes to the site and will soon be launching a new design for the main page but I am having some issues. It seems to be loading very slow, especially the portfolio page, wanted to see if its the same for others and if anyone knows how to fix it?

When I tried it there's no problem. It loads normally just like the other sites.

 

Yes the home page was very slow, and I have a very good set up and intenet connection speed. Actually your portfolio page was almost instant, it was your home page that gave me the issue.

 

Hmmmm That's very odd, this site has already come up in a separate thread by another member.

 

Oh well.. he's got three extra UV's tonight then lol

Hmm I wonder why, I think the issue might have been fixed because the MySQL on the server had to be optimized which has been done now.

 

Good background design and I hope that it is very good posters for the web site..
