Is my website okay?

I have had my site www.huytontimes.co.uk for about 4 or 5 years now and in April I added Adsense. The site is about my home town.

In that time my account balance stands at 190.53$.

What I would like is for all you advanced users here, to have a look at my site and tell me if I am doing anything wrong, Ive read stories of Google banning people and I really dont want that to happen to me.

    Thanks :)

Thanks Arnold, Ive changed the layout so many times and Im never pleased with it, so I opted for a plain look.

But I'll have a look at the templates, Thanx.

link unit above, u should change the background to fix with your background.
Also the Url Link should change the color to blue to make the visitors click "wrong" to the ads if you want to improve your revenue :)

Is Your site talking your hometown?
Do You want to earn money or just want to satisfy visitor?
if you love money, read my ebook about adsense and "cheat" the visitors to click your ads. Newbie Adsense 2008

if u love visitors, don't put too much ads and make the ads easily to visitors know. Let them click the ads they want, don't "cheat" them. Your revenue may be low, but you have good members :)

Yes I agree with other members here saying that it is a bit bland. I do not like the header at all, if you like I would be more than happy with making a new header for you.

Should also think about using a free template there are thousands available out there.

Thanks for all your input, I realise the site was a bit bland, my aims are to satisfy visitors with good content and make some money along the way.

I am in the process of completly redesigning my site and have used templates as recomended, Thanks.

But yesterday Google disabled my adsense account and I am frustrated and annoyed as I do not know why. :-(

 Sorry if you feel the site to be odd, I have said I am in the process of redesign.

The reason you cant see ads is because as I said, my account has been disabled

What is so annoying is that I came on here, and read about people being banned, so I put my site up for people to help me check if was abiding by the rules, and then a few days later I get banned !

Did you click on your own ads?

    Have you contacted Google?

Maybe Google thinks this is a poorly built for adsense site. It could also be the way you are loading the Google ads onto your page (use the code they goive you, do not drive it out of your own Javascript)

Get more real content on the site. Do some SEO like fix your titles and make the keywords on each page realte the the page (they seem to be the same on every page).

Go to a more modern design as well.

No, I did not click my own ads, Ive contacted Google using the online appeal form,

Im not a webdesign expert, I did use the code from Google and placed it into my HTML.

I thought the content was real, it relates to news in my local area. I do agree that they keywords may be the same on many pages, but thats down to laziness I suppose.

I am in the process of a redesign, which looks much better, but it all takes time although the email I got from Google mentioned nothing of the sites design.
