    A few others having the same problem tells me the shared host was hacked and all dropped these in each of the domains on the server.

    Nothing should ever just "appear" on your site without you putting it there or hiring someone to put it there.

    I would start looking for a new host.

    Thanks for your offer. I'm hosted on my friend's server and he moved me to his another server while the new kernel is installed.
