Is my website getting hacked?

I have a self hosted wordpress blog. For past two days, (26th and 17th Sept 2008) a large number of suspecious(more than 1000) direct traffic has come to my blog from network location "insignium llc". The bounce rate is nearly 99.99% and the average time on the site is 0.00 sec. I dont feel its a crawler! Any one have any idea about this web server? Is it any hacking attempt?

The hacker has run a series of bot or psam on your site (dont know what intention - several reasons).
Please block IP as soon as possible

you should block the ip address in your hosting account or just add this code to your .htaccess fils under your root folder, wher you installed your wordpress.

Code to ban an ip address in .htaccess file:

    order allow,deny
deny from "Here comes the ip address but without quotation"
    allow from all

Why would a hacker spam your blog? Is your SERP very good or maybe many concurrence? As suggested above you can block the ip but i thinks it will not stop the hacker.

just be cautious... they could be attempting to DDOS you... I'd go with common answer of block the IP
