IS my site slow ??

    Hi,

    I asked people in other forums to review a site i was working on (from a graphics / layout point of view) and some commented it was slow...

    Seems fine here in the office...does it seem slow to anyone else?

    I personally use firefox like pretty much everyone should. It took a little bit to load but, after that it was fine.
    All your links were like zoom zoom.

    It took 6.4 seconds to load...Not slow, but maybe not upto expectations.

    0.4 seconds on a 2 meg modem.

    Wait, I did a yslow test on it and the performance grade was an F. You might want to download yslow (firefox add on) and see what you need to change.

    It's not that slow, although you might be able to scale back on the images (header at 24kB, submit button at 32kB) because it's basically a few colors and not that much variation. Nothing much to worry about, imho.

    Average load time for me was 7.2 seconds, a little slow but nothing too worry-some.

    A few tests I made:

    Size <------->Load Time <----->Average Speed per KB
    14.63 KB <--->0.72 seconds<---->0.05 seconds
    14.63 KB <--->0.59 seconds<---->0.04 seconds
    14.63 KB <--->0.61 seconds<---->0.04 seconds

    I would call those some pretty good times...

    You website seems to be functioning fine. It loads and from there on, its great. Not slow at all. :D

    It took 2-3 seconds to load it.
    But I have had little connection issues today.
    2 meg connection.

    It took around 24 secs for me.. which is pretty slow.. I've got a 1.5mb/per sec ADSL connection.

    Took 41 seconds. VERY slow.

    Hi everyone,

    thanks for your replies on this matter. I've tried to reduce the size of the image files on the site in order to help it load faster. Hopefully this will help but its difficult to tell really. Seems fine here in the office and at home still !

    well the time has definitely reduced for me.. down from 24s to 10s..

    It doesn't look like you have many images.. so I have no idea what would be causing the slow load time.. maybe you host?
