is my site slow?

    I'm wondering if my site is slow or what? I have checked it on many computers with different connections and it loaded quick enough but still some of my friends say that it takes them a long time to load...
    so what about you? did it load slowly? in your opinion what may be the causes?

    for me is also slow...i think that problem are the many pictures u have...

    Yeah, about 15 seconds to load all the images. Rest of the site was up fairly quickly.

    Did you unplug your server and plug it back in again? Sometimes it helps to unplug your modem as well. J

    Loading at reasonably speed with that many images. I consider it acceptable.

    guys I think you misunderstanded me .. I didn't mean how long does it take to load the whole page with images....I mean how long does it take to open the page , i.e just to open before loading images ...

    Took about 6 seconds before I saw anything render at all on my end, another 10 seconds after that to load the images and rest of the content. It's on the slower side but I don't think slow enough that you will lose a significant portion of traffic who just press the back button before anything loads. If you are using stumble with it though you might not do so well. Long loading times and people just press the stumble button before anything loads.

    It took 7.5 secs on mine, I have 20mb cable though. So that's quite slow.

    Are you using Java?

    Sorry, i'm half asleep ATM. Well, yep that's pretty slow.

    Apart from the fact you have remote images on your site, i'd say your server is slow, maybe look for another hosting company.
