Is my site indexed?

I was having some problems getting one of my sites to rank and I posted a question here last week and got some great answers.

Some of the suggestions, I have already implemented and others I plan to implement, but just haven't had the time yet, but I eventually will.

I now am wondering if the home page of my site is actually indexed. It has a PR3 on the google toolbar (has been a PR3 for a few months now). If you select "Cached snapshot" from the toolbar, you will see the cached snapshot.

But if you grab a unique sentence from the page (copy/paste), place quotes around it, and do a google search, the page will not be found.

Could this mean that the page is not even indexed? If it is not indexed, how did it get PR?

    I'm kinda confused.

    Thanks

By the way, the site is www . njshore-rentals . com (with spaces removed)

    Hiya carlg

Yes I do believe your site is indexed.

To check yourself type into your google search bar:

    site:www . njshore-rentals . com (without the spaces) lol

When you type that in to your google search bar all of the results that show up are your sites indexed pages.

    Thanks
    Clare

p.s. If you type into your google search toolbar:
info:www . njshore-rentals . com (without the spaces), you will find more info on your site like number of backlinks and stuff.

    That's great.

But, why can't I take a unique phrase from the page, put quotes around it, and have it show up?
    I get no results found.

    For example

Take this phrase from my site:

"Some of the more popular destinations will be booked for the summer by the end of January"

    and google it.

    There are no results.

Ur site has been indexed in Google so far.
U can see your cached page here. http://209.85.175.104/search?q=cache:http://www.njshore-rentals.com/

If you want to get traffic to your site, try different.

How does this tell me why google doesn't find a certain phrase?

The site is cached but that does not mean that everything is ok.
Sorry but it looks like a penalty to me. The homepage doesn't even appear in Google for its title quoted. That's not normal. I can't think of what may be the reason at the moment. Maybe you have too many sites hosted on the same IP (74.52.183.50) linking to it?

Could this really be a penalty? I do have 2 other sites on the same IP that link to this one. But it's not spam or anything like that.
It's more like a : "Hey check out my other sites"
