I bought a new domain and set up a WP blog on it. I made a few posts and bookmarked them.

Now when I google "www.mydomain.com" (with inverted commas) i do get my site in results with bookmarking sites like Digg, but i dont see www.mydomain.com directly in the search results.

I think my site is indexed, right, so why is that google is not showing it as a direct result ? When i search with my domian name as keywords in inverted commas, it means an exact match, right ? So, in this case google should show my website directly in the results in top spot or atleast within 2-3 pages, right ? Bits its not happening, after abt a month i still cant see google showing my site as a direct search result.

Sometimes it won't show when keep double quotes, just check without using any quotes then you may see the result and by the way you didn't mentioned your site, if you can share i can check it out and confirm whether it is indexed or not?

Try without quotes and also without www. (just try mydomain.com)

I think when you search your site than your site is less effective for particular keywords.

You say that it should be on top spot or atleast within 2-3 pages, well depends on the Keywords that your site is using if it has a week access yes its should be at least on the first pages but if it has 24,900,000 a month take should take years of work. Think that on a site like that, on a word like that can work an entire team, when you work by yourself.
