Is my site in the Sandbox?

    Hi. I have an affiliate website which I've registered on 09.09.2009. The site is:
    [IMG]
    // I give it as image because I don't want Google to index it from this forum. Please do not give links to my site in your posts. Thanks.
    Since the date of registration I haven't changed anything in the site. It has a lot of keywords because there's no one or two products on the site. Here are the facts:
    1. Google has indexed all pages;
    2. My PR is 0;
    3. When I search for "sitename.com" Google shows me 286 sites, so there are some links to my site. But when I search for "link:sitename.com" there are 0 results;
    4. When I search for a keyword, Google shows my site on 17-th page. Yahoo shows it on 23-rd. How should I interpret the fact that Google ranks my site better than Yahoo?
    Am I in the sandbox or I should just make some SEO?

    I didn't understand only 1 thing - why Google shows me that there's no links to my site while Yahoo shows me 47?

    each search engine shows a different number of backlinks, its just they way they work.. for example my site has >1000 backlinks shown in google and yahoo but only 240 in bing... bing is the slowest as far as I have seen..

    Some of the backlinks are from 6-7 months. I think Google just doesn't want to index them. My question is why he does so.

    Why wouldn't you want a link from this forum to show up? *shrug* Lots of people have them in their sigs. I have mine in my sig. Google likes backlinks even low quality ones. Long as it's natural. Google knows people try to optimise, they even give people tips for doing so.

    Your site in not in sandbox as sandbox sites mostly not indexed in Google go with SEO and link building it will help you to get ranking in search engines.

    On the top of the thread I said that Google shows my site on 17-th page. Now it shows it on 10-th page for the same keyword. At the moment it is on 3-rd and 4-th page for some of my main keywords. I changed almost nothing.
    You're right, the site is not in the sandbox, it needs SEO and more backlinks only.
    Thanks again :)

    If you are indeed ranking in a serp... how can your site be in a sandbox? Sandbox would mean complete blackout in all its rankings!
    Btw... just curious to know... why you do not wish to get backlinks from DP? :confused:

    Regards,

    Hi, that's great your website started to progress in Google SERP. Further let me clarify some of major difference between Google and Yahoo which might prove beneficial to the above situation. Normally Google considers only do follow links as a backlink apart from it Yahoo considers both types of link i.e. Do follow and No follow as a backlink so hope at that stage you have number of no follow links. Once you build quality do follow backlink from high PR sites you can very well rank in Google for your major keywords.
