is my site blocked by ISPs? or is it a firewall issue?

    Hello there DP members,

My site [ http://www.darkmindz.com ], gets alot of downtime for alot of users across UK / US.

There are 2 reasons in mind,

One: Firewall / IPtables freak out and ban hostnames that are used by those users.

Two: ISPs blocking the site, due to the fact its hacking oriented.

    so, how can I check?

one issue I noticed, users that cant access the site `get server not found`, can always access the site from IP but not domain :| http://72.20.10.53/

so yea, how can I make sure, any help is appreciated.

    hi,
Ask any of the users who cannot access the site, to do a traceroute to your domain and then display the result so that the exact location, where the domain gets blocked can be traced.

I just checked your site, and it seems the dns is totally dead. That can explain why customers cannot reach your domain, but still can visit IP

It just shows rDNS for your IP is set as ns2.mxsecurity.be. Your IP might be used by another customer before.

It seems you are not familiar with server management. You should have an admin to setup server for you. It costs some, but at the end, it will save your time and headache. If you don't trust outside people, contact staminus staff to do it for you is the best

so we changed IP of main DNS, and everyone that couldnt access the server, can now..

and the old DNS errors are gone, but now a new ones came up lol...

anyways, looks like the owner was right, one of the ISPs was nullrouting the IP of main DNS..

if you couldnt access the site before, can you try now, thanks

ask that user to use opendns.com configurations to test... The blocking is not always the issue with ISPs.. They may also have some DNS issue on their end .......
